Have a look at this video which I wrote the music for. It's from the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. I think it's rather beautiful.
24th October 2011
I've been working for Louisiana Museum of Modern Art (darling) writing music for a trailer for their litterature festival. I've always loved art museums so it really is great to be asked to do this.
As always I've been writing production music and this time it's a new and exiting publisher. I would love to mention their name but as I write under a pseudonym I'll keep it to myself.
My own project 'Music on Canvas' has a second single coming out first week of November called 'over you' feat. Heather McClell.
The first one released through Cafe del Mar Music has been very successful and I've decided to develop it further.
Check out the 'over you' front cover here: www.musiconcanvas.com
Finally, it's time to give my website a bit of an update. I've decided to inject a bit of personality into it so the viewer can get a sense of who I am. Best Peter

Musiconcanvas feat. Tabitha 'Upside down' out now on Cafe del Mar vol 17 on itunes. Album is currently no 7 in UK itunes electronic chart, no 1 in Italy and no 8 in Germany.
Just as I thought I could ease into 2011, me and my friend and writing partner Mike Koch were asked to write music for Music for Sport and I managed to do a 12 track project for Atomica Music Library.
Next month we're going to finish a really cool project for Basstone Music and they have generously let us use their studio for mixing and since we at heart are studio nerds this should be a fun experience. Always good for the soul to get out of your own environment + they make great tea.
Music I've been listening to:
Janelle Monae, Adele, MGMT, Air + some french easy listening.
Just wanted to plug a new film one of my tracks have appeared in during the closing credits.
it's called 'The Legend of Iqnaqua' and was directed by Jean-Christophe Druez.
Happy viewing.
If you're someone who appreciates the finer things in life you may enjoy this video which I composed the music for. To be enjoyed with a fine glass of wine.
I think I mentioned a while back doing some programming for the Funktuary. The video has been up for a while but escaped my radar. Check it out.
Just finished a job writing music for one of my favorite art galleries. The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Denmark have used a track I wrote to help promote their annual litterature festival which each year hosts some of the most respected writers worldwide. The track was written for a trailer to help promote the festival. Also currently writing for Basstone Music as well as producing a large number of indie artists.
The Mispent 2nd album was completed over the summer and mastered at Swift Mastering.
The Ginkgo album is now on sale and can be bought here. Have a listen to some of the tracks.
I've really enjoyed these last few months. Finished a job for Online Production Music which went really well and starting a new project for Focus Music.
The Mispent album will be finsihed in the next 6-8 weeks. The Ginkgo project has finally been mastered at Abbey Road. It has been a long and bumpy road but it feels great to complete it.
Apart from that I've speant my time looking at the sunset thinking "Iam the luckiest guy on the planet". Peace!
Just completed a new cd which will be released through Basstone Music, also done some tracks for Felt Music. About to
start producing 2nd album by London band The Mispent. Happy to see Marina and the Diamonds in the charts, best of luck. Currently writing more music for 2 other companies, it's too early to mention who they are but the style is indie rock.
In the world of pop I've been writing songs with up and coming singer Shantel Rock.
That's a small part of what I've been doing. What I've been thinking is that now is a great time for indie artist to promote themselves. It seems that every day more and more opportunities open up. Needless to say you've got to have talent and if you do, give me a call I'd love to hear from you.
Recently did some work for Music For Sport a UK company providing music for........sport. Also produced a new cd for Prolific Arts. The Ginkgo Music compilation featuring David McAlmont, Kate Walsh and Devon Sproule has been mixed and we're mastering at Abbey Road studios in a couple of weeks.
I've done some songwriting with amongs others Cat Sforza who has previously worked with KT Tunstall. I wrote an article for an online magazine on getting ahead in the music business, check it out: Just discovered one of my old clients is getting serious exposure in the press. Check out Marina and the Diamonds
Just completed some work for advertising agency 'muirhoward' which turned out great. I've also had my music published with US music publisher: www.prolificartsmusic.com and www.royaltyfreemusicrevolution.com which is now online. I was recently contacted by the largest independent UK music publisher and it looks like a deal is going ahead. Will reveal more when appropriate. A new album by 'The Funktuary' will be released in the next couple of months. I played some synths and drum programming for them on several tracks and the first single should be on youtube shortly. The Funktuary co- wrote the top 10 hit 'my my my' for Armand Van Helden.
The Ginkgo project is slowly getting near completion. I recorded a great track by The Nextmen featuring Zarif and frankly they were the dogs ********, ie. brilliant. I also recorded a 18 piece string section for the album and did arrangements for David McAlmont and Devon Sproule with my team mate Ben Rous who also did a great job conduction the section.
Discovered this morning one of my tracks is on heavy rotation on an American TV show which got me exited.
I recently recorded David McAlmont from Mcalmont/Butler fame, also for the same project Classical guitarist Morgan Szymanski. Confirmed is now Universal signed The Nextmen which I'll hopefuly deal with early October.
I also signed another publishing deal in America and currently restructuring my company to include several new partnerships.
Brazilian artist Cibelle is the latest addition to the Ginkgo cd which I am currently producing. We recorded a blinding track and I could'nt be happier with it.Check out the recent review in the independent:
I've also signed a contract with an American publisher last month for some music I wrote for the American market.
I've just had confirmation that David McAlmont from McAlmont/Butler fame will be recording a track for the Ginkgo cd. Last month I also recorded legendary pedal steel guitar player BJ Cole on the Devon Sproule track who is on her UK tour at the moment. Devon will also appear on Jools Holland late Feb.
I've been writing a great deal of songs lately and have 2 new tracks on www.myspace.com/peterlarsenmusic.
I've recorded 2 more artists for the Ginkgo cd. Devon Sproule from US who
stopped by inbetween dates at the 02 in London supporting Lucinda Williams. I also had the honour of recording critically acclaimed Dobet Gnahore from France. We're getting there.
I've finished Nikki Slades album which should be on itunes soon.
On a slightly different note. I did some work with one of the original Cambridge Footlights members in one of Londons top studios. While entertaining me with stories about legends like Peter Cook etc he also opened my eyes to the American songwriter Tom Lehrer. I am now a fan.
Musically I am quite sharp at the moment so anyone in need of my services, feel free to contact me.
Hi there. A few more updates. Got 6 tracks on a new cd from Zone Publishing. Heard one of them the other day on 'how to look good naked' which kind of cracked me up.
The Ginkgo project is moving ahead. Recorded a new singer/songwriter called Valentine the other day. We've been negotiating with American labels, uk labels and hopefully I'll have an update soon on future artists. Negotiating the finer contractual details can be timeconsuming.
I'll put the finishing touches on an album by my good friend Nikki Slade in the next 2 monts.
Also check out this review of an album I produced by the mispent.
Apart from that I've written some new songs which I'll put up soon
The Ginkgo Music cd which I am producing will be released in November
and there will be a launch at the Union Chapel in Islington. This Month I've recorded a blinding track from The Ballinsky Project. Later this month it's Marthat Tilston and we are also negotiating with a top 10 hit singer songwriter. More shall be revealed when it's confirmed.
As always I've been writing music for tv/radio, co-produced an album for Frazer Kennedy and developing a new power pop project
Feel free to check my myspace page which is: www.myspace.com/peterlarsenmusic
Singer songwriter Martha Tilston has agreed to record a song for the Ginkgo Music project which Iam currently producing. I also recorded Allan Lacroix a couple of weeks ago and will add a string section in the near future.

London band the Mispent has been back in action and I've been gigging with them. We're about to record a new single for the band which will be a ballad. Still writing music for the Zone label and about to start another couple of projects.
It's been a busy couple of months. I've started producing the Ginkgo music cd and recently recorded Kate Walsh who is now no 1 on the itunes download chart ahead of Kaiser Chiefs and Take That. Check this article on times online: www.entertainment.timesonline.co.uk
We're recording one more artist for the album this week and speaking to 2 others about participating.
I've also been mixing/co-producing an album for Frazer Kennedy, worked with a couple of emerging songwriters as well as writing library music for the Zone Label and Boost Music.
Right now Iam in the middle of rehearsals with a band I've put together and that's all Iam saying right now, but will announce some gigs soon.
